Central Coast Wedding Photographer – Heather & Tom

Empire Bay/Avoca:

I knew it was going to be amazing when I saw the banjo case that morning, but I couldn’t have known just how great this day would be.

It wasn’t amazing because of the banjo. It wasn’t amazing because of the tux shirts or the groom’s patent shoes (or the fact they all looked like they were filming an action movie). It wasn’t the amazing translation Tom’s mum kept providing me in her gorgeous French accent. It wasn’t Tom’s Dad showing his son’s how to really smoke a cigar.

It wasn’t Heather’s Louboutin’s (my first time photographing those red soles ever). It wasn’t the amazing ceremony venue that Heather’s Dad had been growing for 30+ years. It wasn’t getting to pose the couple with Heather’s horses or her Dad’s Cobra (which she happens to race in her spare time).

It wasn’t the little girls on the beach oohing and ahhing as they watched the prettiest bride they’d ever seen walk up the beach, nor was it the awkward teenager tripping over himself as he passed her. It wasn’t the surfer’s dropping into our photos or the unbelievable weather and surrounds. It wasn’t that amazing reception room that was so carefully put together by so many fabulous people and it wasn’t even how Tom looks at Heather, which is pretty damn great.

The thing that made it so amazing was watching a little girl’s dreams coming true. Years of running through these places, imagining where she would one day marry her love. Knowing every inch of the space and taking us to all of the special spots she had dreamt of having wedding photos. Watching her marry her dream guy and laugh with him and feel like the luckiest girl in the world. The happy was so real, and it was so great.

Heather & Tom, I personally feel like the luckiest to have been part of this day. Thank you ever so much for including me!
