Helina & Eddie chose Yarramalong Valley Farmstay to formalise their union, and it was a truly special event. Having had to postpone on account of lockdown, family and friends were all on deck to help create the best day ever.
The nature of Eddie and Helina is not to make a fuss or ask for too much, and that’s partly what makes them so loveable (also their infectious smiles, generous hearts and kind natures add to there irresistibility). I suppose, therefore, it’s no surprise they are obviously adored by their family and friends who all pitched in and helped out at every turn like I’ve never seen at a wedding before.
Eddie fought the tears as he watched Helina walk toward him which was the perfect start to a beautiful ceremony led by the beautiful Fiona Rogers. Words, rings and a kiss made it all official as family scurried to prepare traditional Indonesian fare for canapés. Kylie from Peaches Vintage Caravan was also on hand to expertly mix drinks and the party was already on it’s way.
I haven’t published photos of it here, but I have to thank Eddie’s family for allowing me to witness their traditional tea ceremony which was a first for me. Without understanding the tradition or even many of the words, I will never forget the love displayed from parents to children and vice versa. Traditions are so important and it is a great gift that I get to witness traditions from cultures different to my own. Thank you so much to all involved.
Finally it would be ridiculous to not mention the food on the night, provided by the sensational Black Bear Barbecue. Legit, I will never forget that meal my whole life. You are absolute artists with meat. The number of people I caught staring like deers in headlights with mouths hanging open as you sliced through various delicacies is uncountable. I don’t have pictures of them because I was staring as well.
Much love to this beautiful couple, I’m so grateful for my time with you both.
